Overview

National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is a government university in Bangalore that was established in 1986. NLSIU was the first national law university to be set up in India and is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Considered one of the top law schools in India, NLSIU Bangalore is ranked #1 among top law universities/schools in India by various organizations such as NIRF, Outlook, India Today, etc.

NLSIU offers BALLB, LLB, MPP, LLM, and PhD programs. Admissions are based on the university-based entrance test or national-level examination for law, i.e., CLAT and NLSAT. The university also offers student exchange programs, which allow students to study law at foreign universities and interact with its faculty and students. Additionally, NLSIU offers online and hybrid programs through NLSIU Professional and Continuing Education (PACE). The university offers internship and placement opportunities for all students. The median CTC offered to BA LLB (Hons) students ranges from INR 18 LPA.
