Founded in 1963, the University of East Anglia is a leading public research university located in the western part of Norwich. Some of the historical facts about the university are given as follows:
● The attempts to establish a university campus in Norwich were being made in 1919 and 1947 but later both plans had to be postponed.
● Later in 1960, the University of East Anglia was first set up in April for biological sciences and English language studies.
● In 1972, the Center for Climatic Research was established and also founded by the climatologist Hubert Lamb.
● During the mid-1970s, the School of Computing Sciences first opened at the University of East Anglia and then the university started offering UG and PG education courses.
● The University of East Anglia's School of Fine Arts was established in 1978.
● Later in 2002, the University of East Anglia's Medical School was founded with 110 students which was enrolled as a collaboration.
