Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) is an autonomous engineering and technology university located in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh. IIT Mandi's permanent campus is fully functional at Kamand and Salgi Mandi. Timothy A. Gonsalves was the first Director of IIT Mandi and R. C. Sawhney served as the first Registrar. Himalayan resort Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, IIT Mandi has been established with the vision to be a leader in science and technology education, knowledge creation and innovation, in an India marching towards a just, inclusive and sustainable society.
