Overview

Founded in 1807, the University of Toronto is a public research university located in Queen’s Park, Toronto, Ontario. The University of Toronto has received a lot of scientific research funding and endowment from any Canadian University. The university is also one of the two members of the Association of American Universities outside of the USA along with McGill University. According to the Shiksha rankings, the University of Toronto received an A++ ranking including the same ranking for subjects such as Biology, Business Analytics, Mathematics, and Computer Sciences. Some of the popular alumni members at the university are William Faulkner, Lester B Pearson, and Stephen Harper.

The University of Toronto has an acceptance rate of 43% along with an average GPA of 3.6 out of 4.0. Also, the University of Toronto offers more than 700 UG and 200 PG courses to international students every year. The fee for Indian students for a UG course is INR 36 L and for a PG course, it is INR 28 L. The university offers the International Foundation Program as well as the International Summer Academy for the students on campus. Many exchange opportunities are offered through the Centre for International Experience which has provided both UG and PG students to take core or elective courses.

According to 2022-23 data, 97% of full-time MBA students secured internships at the university. The alumni members of the university are working in companies such as University Health Network, Scotiabank and Deloitte.
