Overview

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP Test is a management aptitude test conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University for admission to the MBA/PGDM programmes offered by its 15 constituent institutes. The exam is held in online mode and the exam paper comprises questions from General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. SNAP 2020 registration dates will be announced in August and the exam will be held in December.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduates in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD candidates) or equivalent from recognised university or institute can apply for SNAP 2020

  • Final year students are also eligible to apply for SNAP test, but their admission will remain provisional until submission of the passing certificate 

  • International students or candidates who have graduated from an international university, have to obtain a certificate of equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

SNAP 2020 Exam Pattern

  • The SNAP Exam Pattern was revised last year and the number of questions were reduced from 115 to 110.
  • The Current Affairs section was also scrapped from this year, reducing the number of sections in the SNAP question papere to three.
  • The format of the SNAP question paper also changed. Special Questions were removed from VARC and A-LR sections, while, only five Special Questions were inlcuded in QA, DI-DS section.
  • The marking scheme also changed. According to the new SNAP exam pattern, the VARC and A-LR questions will carry 1.5 marks and QA, DI-DS questions will carry 1 mark each.
  • SNAP exam is held in online mode and the duration of the exam is two hours.

SNAP Exam Preparation 2020

SNAP is a speed-based exam which tests the candidate's management aptitude. To prepare for the exam, one should keep in mind certain aspects of the exam like the SNAP exam pattern and test structure. The candidate must also prepare according to the SNAP Syllabus and practice previous years'SNAP question papers.

SNAP 2020 Test Cities

SNAP 2020 will be conducted at multiple test centres in 90 cities across India. A candidate may choose up to three cities preferred as test location.

SNAP 2020 Exam Day Guidelines 

SNAP exam will be held across 90 cities from 2 pm to 4 pm. The candidates must follow SNAP guidelines to be able to appear in the exam without facing any problem. Listed below are some do’s and Ddon’ts of SNAP exam.

SNAP 2020 Do’s:

  • Report to your SNAP exam centre at 12 pm to undergo identification process.
  • Check the exam instructions thoroughly before you start solving the question paper.
  • Candidates with disability must ensure their scribe has relevant documents of identification
  • Carry a print out of your SNAP 2019 admit card and one of the following documents as ID proof.

  4. Voter ID
  5. Aadhaar card

SNAP 2020 Don'ts:

  • Do not carry cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built in calculators/ memory or any electronics gadgets to the exam hall.

  • Do not enter the exam hall late. No entry in the exam hall will be allowed after 2:10 pm.

SNAP Selection Process

Once the SNAP result is announced, the SIU affiliated institutes begin their admission process. The admission process includes Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT).

The participating institutes fix cut offs to shortlist candidates for GE/PI/WAT. Shortlisted candidates are called for GE/PI/WAT. The final selection is based on each candidate’s academic record and performance in SNAP and GE/PI/WAT.
