MTech Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility requirements for admission to MTech programme are given below. Please note that the MTech Eligibility Criteria may vary from institute to institute:

Basic Qualification	B.E (Bachelor of Engineering) or BTech (Bachelor of Technology) in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum Percentage	Generally 55-60% marks in B.E/BTech (may vary by university/program).
Relaxation	SC/ST/OBC candidates often have a relaxation of 5% in minimum percentage.
Entrance Exam	GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is the most common entrance exam for MTech admissions. Admission is based on rank obtained in the entrance test conducted for MTech
Subject Combination	Specific subject combinations might be required for certain specializations. Candidates who have completed a 5-year program in Science or Applied Sciences resulting in the award of a Master of Science degree are also eligible for Master of Engineering course.
